A long time ago while watching the last episode of Friends I remember seeing Rachel carrying the most gorgeous Louis Vuitton bag and I HAD to know what it was called and how I could get it....during my search I found an amazing website called Celebrity Style Guide Much to my dismay the bag is vintage and i'll probably never find it, but I did find one gem of a website in my search! You can search for celebrity fashions by designer, tv show, movie and star. Check it out! Much like the last site I posted you could get lost here for hours!!!

Kara, Becky and Tracy are giddy like school girls to announce our Girls are a Girls Best friend photo contest!

Imagine you and your best girl getting all dolled up by Tracy and then stepping in front of the camera with Kara and Becky at four ultra cool, top secret locations for a photo shoot! We foresee lots of giggling, girl talk and good old fashioned fun during a photo shoot themed around the ultimate girls past-time.

SeenON! is a great website where you can find out the answers to those exact questions!! They have style guides for so many of the biggest shows on TV right now (and for TV Shows past i'll share another website next week) and even a few movies! Check it out....I could spend hours on this website!!

The last time I saw Matea she was a newborn and I was so excited to see how she had grown and changed. She had a couple fun outfits to show off and some little Puma's... I got the chance to peek into this darling's closet and I have to say, she has quite the wardrobe!

She was so good during the session, I don't think I heard her cry once! But she did make her mom and dad work quite hard to get some smiles out...when I first got there she was just waking up from a nap and she was very relaxed!

This shot of the three of them is one of my favs.

She was so relaxed just sitting on the couch. Doesn't she look like such a hip little lady in her outfit!? Check out her baby Puma's!

So I've decided to start a new weekly feature on the blog where I share some of the fun, cool, useful and useless websites I have found during my travels on the world wide web. This is my hard working man. He has been working day and night for the past couple of weeks on a film he's producing and editing due to come out this spring. Watching him work on everything that goes into a film really makes you watch and appreciate movies differently.

It's a completely local film, with cast and crew all hailing from Manitoba. If you watch the trailer you'll definitely notice some of the local spots used. Worth checking out...but of course i'm biased! Anyway...Chris was setting up for a photoshoot for the DVD cover and movie poster and I had to take the chance to get some head shots of him.

♥ meet Raegan

I met Raegan and her parents on Saturday this past weekend when she was just 10 days old! She was very sweet and awake almost the whole time! Very alert and paying very close attention to where that "snap" was coming from.

I have often heard that all newborns have blue eyes....but something tells me this little girl might have inherited blue eyes!! Gorgeous.

Having a cuddle with mom...there were so many shots from this sequence that I could have blogged, but this was one of my favorites, I thought it was cute how she was looking over at her husband who was watching from the corner of the room.

When I got to their house I was peaking around and I found a gorgeous rocking crib. Brie told me that her grandpa made if for her dolls when she was younger, I HAD to use it for a photo! I gave the shot a little bit of antique texture because I thought it completed look!

Saturday I met up with two brave souls at The Forks for some fun engagement photos. Why brave? Because it was -41 outside! I felt a little bad because there I was in 4 layers of clothing, my long North Face parka and my nice cozy warm touque and they did not have that luxury. We did the photoshoot in record time, I guess the cold motivated us! I can't wait for their wedding in August when it will be nice and WARM outside and we won't be too cold to move! lol.

last time I took photos of Mackenzie she was just barely 2 weeks old, and now she's six months! I was so excited to have those big blue eyes in front of my camera. She is so sweet and her mom and dad are pretty cool too! It was such tough work being a 'cover girl', Mackenzie was fast asleep by the time I left her house.

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is the awesome people you get to meet and share special occasions with. This family is right up there on my ever growing list of cool clients. I had such a great time spending the afternoon with them and their new bundle of joy Matea. Matea had the most gorgeous nursery. I'm pretty sure it would have left any girl who loves pink wishing it was their room (me included). On to the pictures...

This afternoon I had the privilege of shooting engagement photos for Kendra and Garth. Thankfully it was really nice outside! I was scared we might have snow on the ground by now. We had a great time at the beach and i'm still finding remnants of sand in my pockets hours later. Kendra and Garth and so photogenic and so relaxed and natural in front of the camera...it made my job easy! Here's just a small preview for you guys! Can't wait till your wedding in May, I think we are going to have a blast!

There always seems to be a heart or something in the sand when I get to the beach...so we decided to use it to our advantage.

I love giggles!!

This past Saturday we took advantage of a nice (but brisk) morning exploring at The Forks. These two were quite entertaining and we had a lot of fun. Apart from having the most amazing blue eyes, this little guy had quite the personality on him and had fun making all kinds of funny faces for me while his little sister showed off with her amazing yoga skills! Have you ever seen a 2 year old do downward dog?! Wow!!

I was so excited to meet these two little girls and they did not disappoint! When I arrived Paige walked right up to me to break the ice and she said "You're Becky....(smile)....look at my dress"and she got me...my heart melted and I loved this little girl!! I had quite a hard time narrowing the pictures down to a sneak peek, but here are some of my faves.

Paige loves hats and I was so excited that she brought some of her favorites along!

Abi was one fast little crawler!!

This is my favorite. I was taking some shots of mom and dad and apparently Paige wasn't finished having her picture taken and wanted to get in on some more of the action and ran in for this shot. Even though it's not technically perfect I think it's adorable.

My first shoot on Saturday was with two young boys, Aidan and Thomas. Thomas took a little while to get into the mood of having his picture taken but once he was ready we had a lot of fun!! I love visiting clients who have country yards, so many different areas to explore!!

I loved this old fence!

Right about now he was telling me that his favorite sport is CURLING! A true Canadian!

Tonight I had a shoot with the family of an old friend that I met in University. It's so nice connecting with old friends again, and it's great fun when it happens with a photoshoot. I did engagement shots for her a number of years ago, and I was flattered that she liked them enough to come back for more pictures!! Her family was great, following all my crazy instructions; climbing into high places and sitting on the road. After we were done with the family shots we took some couple shots too.....so there's more to come. With the days getting so short I was scared we were going to run out of light. There's such a fine line between beautiful evening sunlight and not enough light, but the family agreed to meet a little earlier (THANKS!) and it was so worth it. The light was amazing!! Part 1....

Yesterday our family was bursting with pride for this beautiful lady. She raises the smart factor in the family and now even more so with those extra three letters at the end of her name....CMA. She probably thought I was crazy for dragging her to the top of a parking garage to take her grad photos, but who says you need some special spot to take great photos? I knew I had to work fast when she was standing out there shivering....this is what we came out with. And yes....those red soled shoes are the real thing :)

Today I had a blast at the beach with 3 adorable little girls. I think I tricked them and they thought we were just playing but really, we were having a photoshoot! How cute are they?! The hair, the smiles, the freckles!! They are lucky they are so much smaller than me or I may have tried to take Natalie's leg warmers and sneakers home!!

Their super talented mom made this cute book bag, all their dolls, and the fabric covered hair elastics and clips! She's going to be at a craft show this fall selling them, if you want some info let me know and i'll get you the 4-1-1!

♥ Finally Hitched

The last wedding of the summer was probably one of the most important weddings i'd ever shot. It was my cousin and my very good friend. Just 3 short months before this I remember sitting on a plane flying to Las Vegas with Tracy looking at a Martha Stewart wedding magazine picking out things that would be cool at a wedding...little did we know we were finding things for Tracy's wedding, ie. the M&M's.

The day of the wedding I woke up to pouring rain and I couldn't believe it, it was the first summer wedding it had ever rained for me. But all the prayers for it to stop worked because about 20 minutes before we started pictures it started to clear up and turned into a beautiful day! And 15 minutes after we finished family pictures it started to pour again! It felt like God had stopped the rain just for us that day.

We had a LOT of fun taking pictures that day. Darrin and Tracy totally worked it and the camera loved them! So photogenic! Darrin was pumped at how fast I snapped. What can I say...after enough weddings you learn that the groom and groomsmen don't LOVE taking photos all day! :)
This is going to be a long one....

The much talked about pink shoes!

I shot a sequence of "first sight" pictures that almost made Tracy cry when she saw them in her album. I had to stop shooting that day after about 5 pictures because they were making me cry! That's the trouble when you shoot family weddings...it's hard to look through the viewfinder with tears in your eyes! :)

Darrin being silly and making Tracy laugh...this happened a lot throughout the day.

Bling Bling! We've got wedding rings!!

Darrin snickered after this picture, "what?" "I jumped like a ninja".

Check out the Iron Maiden belt buckle. Weddings are so fun when the couples personality shines through and they do things "their way" instead of the "wedding way". Refreshing!

There was much joking and talking about these pink ties all day...but they probably secretly loved them!

Rewind way back to the beginning of the summer....in June I took newborn shots with baby Mackenzie, who was about 2 weeks old. She was awake pretty much the whole time and kept us entertained with all the different faces she liked to make. Mackenzie's mom Kelly is a special friend of mine, she was one of my first friends when I started my last summer job as a university student and we bonded over Christmas lights...long story. I'm pretty sure when Mackenzie first heard my voice at her house that day she thought "hey, i've heard this girl before....talking to my mom, something about Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson".

Tracy and Jamie were married in July this summer on a hot and sunny weekend! Tracy is my self described 'superfan', she even booked me for her wedding before she seen hardly any of my photos. She goes down in the books as one of the most relaxed brides i've worked with. It was hard to narrow it down to about ten photos when I took more than 900 that day!

We decided to stop in this alleyway at the last minute before we met up with the wedding party and it's a good thing we did, it's one of my favorite images from that day and one of my favorite wedding pictures ever!

Today I had a shoot with 3 girls from my hometown. I am great friends with their mom and even though she is an amazing photographer herself she has had me taking pictures of her daughters for a long time! Her youngest wasn't even in kindergarten yet at our first shoot! I LOVE taking pictures of these girls, they are comfortable in front of a camera and know how to work it! How gorgeous are they?! On to the pics....

We've taken this same picture for the last 3 years, crazy to see that Abby is taller than her big sister!!
